Meet your guide:
I'm Jen Kahn, Functional Nutritionist, Yoga Teacher, and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist in training. I'm also an avid outdoorswoman, occasional artist, gardener, and cook. And, I spent a lot of time forcing myself into the box of what I thought life, and wellness, were supposed to look like, waiting for life to 'really begin'. I came up empty. I became frustrated, heartbroken, and ill. So I tried a different way. A way of identifying and listening to my needs. Of finding options that worked for every facet of my being. Of learning about and understanding myself. In this pursuit I found peace. I found my excitement! I found my path, and I found my bliss. And now, I'd like to share it with you.

How does it work?
Great question. Logistically, this adventure takes place in a twelve-week group experience, starting mid-July. Bi-weekly (that's every other week) calls offer the whole group a chance to connect live, in 'real time'. In each call we'll talk about the element we're working with, share experiences, and get internally connected through movement and guided visualization.
In between the group calls an active online community offers you opportunity to talk about what you're exploring, share ideas, and receive support from me and from your fellow explorers. You'll also receive prompts for exploratory activities to try, learning-content videos, audio meditations, recipes, and more.
The icing on the cake (which you get to have AND eat, in this manner of approaching life) comes to you via individual coaching and consulting sessions in whatever area of support you need. These calls are an opportunity to break down your individual health or nutrition needs, get support on life transition, and solidify the work you are doing with the Nourishment material. How many times we speak depends on the transformation you are making, the investment you want to make in your Self and this process, and the ways in which you like to be supported.

All that sounds pretty cool, but how does this strategy get me from here (blah) to there (delicious)?
Have you ever seen the wheels or gears inside of a combination lock? Let's say your combination is 47-10-18. As you turn the outside dial to 47, the inner gears turn, and as 47 lines up with the top, a tumbler falls into place in a notch in the wheel. You turn the other way, to 10, the tumbler falls into the notch in gear two. As you turn the dial, adjusting the last wheel to 18, the last tumbler falls into place, and the lock clicks open.

What does my body have to do with all this?
Our bodies are with us from birth, to death, and experience everything we think, do, and feel in every moment. And, our bodies cannot lie. In this program we will come back to our bodies again and again, for information, to notice experience, and we will offer ourselves physical nourishment that meets our unique physical nourishment needs, as a way to support ourselves on our life adventure. A body who is ignored, sidelines, depleted, or malnourished requires some extra TLC to create trust and safety so we can be here now in this life, in participation and collaboration with our dreams. This does NOT mean you have to be in perfect (or even good) health in order to participate, benefit from this program, or actualize your dreams! The only requirement is a willingness to move, step by step, in self-defined direction.

I'm pretty busy - How much time will this take me each week?
Great question! One of the hardest things I see most people do is find ways to take more time to take care of themselves. Adding new courses and programs and therapies can often detract even MORE from the pursuit of self! The great thing about Nourish Your Body, Nourish Your Life ™ is that you get to choose how much time to spend.
To be more specific, our bi-weekly calls will be roughly an hour. The at-home learning materials will be divided into 20 minute chunks that you can watch as videos, read as pdfs, or listen to as mp3s whenever you like. Online group participation is quick and easy, and as involved as you wish.
The real 'meat' of the program - the ways in which you integrate your learning into daily practices - take very little time at all! It is quite likely that you are already doing many of the things we will be discussing, and, with come small adjustments and using the tool of intention, you can turn even things like doing dishes as paying bills into acts of extreme self-nourishment and care. (That's right - even doing the dishes can become a supportive, nourishing practice).
If you never ever think about what you eat or cook for yourself, there may be a ramp-up effort at the beginning, but part of the whole point and intention of this course is finding ways to nourish your Self that work with your life, not against it. As such, a huge focus will be placed on tailoring all practices to meet your unique and individual needs.

- You've been mentioning food and nutrition. Is this a diet or cleanse program?
Yes and no! What this program is NOT, is a program that will tell you to eat a very particular way, with a focus on weight loss or gain or specific detoxification. However, we will be using food and nutrition as a big part of our content. What you will be offered is a variety of ways to explore how you relate to food, your body, your diet, and how you can better serve and meet your individual needs. If you identify weight-management or detoxification as a high-priority need, those topics will be covered and you will receive information and support on how to design and implement strategies specifically for you.
Will this program help me with my health issue?
Yes, this program may help you with your health issues. Many physical, mental, and emotional symptoms can be greatly reduced when our bodies are correctly (for us!) supported. Impact of more serious health situations can be reduced. If you have a serious illness you would like to learn to manage holistically, you may wish to choose an option with a higher level of individual support.
Will this program help me with my life issue?
Yes. This program will support you in taking an approach to your Self and your needs that includes all of you. It quite likely will involve you exploring, if you desire, any big or nagging life issues you are confronting. Nothing in this program requires that you make a particular choice or exploration if you do not want to, but the opportunity is there, for supported exploration, discernment, and movement, as you desire.
Who shouldn't enroll?
If everything in your life is working perfectly exactly as it is, and you have no desire to learn something new, this adventure is probably not for you! I am guessing though, if you've gotten this far, some curiosity or resonance has engaged you. This program is also not for anyone who is looking for a cookie-cutter out-of-the-box approach to health, wellness, and life-engagement. If you are in, you must possess the willingness and desire for self-exploration, experiential learning, and community engagement.
Is there a deadline?
